History

Clydebank District Choir

There is a long history of Choral Music in Clydebank and Clydebank District Choir was formed in 1991 with the encouragement of the then Provost of West Dunbartonshire, Alistair Macdonald.

We are a friendly and sociable group numbering approximately 35 at present. members come from all sections of the community in and around Clydebank. Some of our members who have moved from the area still travel some distance to attend rehearsals and concerts, demonstrating their commitment to the choir since its inception.

Whatever the experience or skill level we share a common interest in music and singing, and enjoy the challenge of learning something new as well as the pleasure of singing old favourites. Rehearsals are intended to be varied and enjoyable and new members are encouraged to learn from more experienced singers.
